This week the children in the Oak room have been learning about people who help us. There has been lots of discussion about all different types of work such as firefighters, doctors, nurses, dentists and police.

“My mum is a nurse and helps people feel better.” – Ruby

“My dad is a firefighter, he would save you from a fire.” – Hamish M

“Doctors just get stuff from the box and fix people.” – Abel

” Vets help us!” Freya R

“Dentist just check big ones and little ones teeth.” – Maya

“Your mummy can help you too if you fall over or cry.”- Skye

Some of children have been practicing how to look after a baby, undertaking tasks such as bathing the baby, brushing their teeth, putting nappies on and dressing them.

“You need to give the baby a bath before bed. Then they go to sleep and when they wake up its morning and they have breakfast. They have porridge its so healthy .” – Maggie

“I was washing the babies teeth because he needs clean teeth. Your teeth will be mucky if you don’t brush them.”- Freya L
