Planting in our local woodland

On Thursday  the Chestnut room linked learning with the Biology department and some students from Glenurquhart high school to plant some Ash trees in our local woodland.

The Children learnt that you have to cover the new trees with tubes to protect them from the animals but these can be removed after 1 years of growth.

There was a lot of Bracken in the area, so can you please check your children for Ticks.

Finn “I know why you put that over the Tree because it stop the Deer eating the tree.”

Jackson “Can I  dig the hole?  I’m good at digging.”
