The children from the Oak room enjoyed a recent visit to the woods on forest school day. They have been busy learning about ice and how it is formed from a liquid to a solid. They took with them a ice cube bag which they had filled with water and hid it right up at the top of the rock! We plan to visit again once the weather has turned cold again to see what has happened!
On the way we found a giant puddle which had frozen over. The children had great fun breaking up the ice and commented on how slippery and cold it felt. This helped to introduce the concept of how a solid can turn to a liquid.
