Easter week with our little Chestnuts

We have had a brilliant week! With the run up to Easter, there has been lots of activities on the go. We began with the Easter Story and watched an information video on why we celebrate Easter. We decorated our boiled eggs and took them with us on forest school to roll.

Lily – ‘The angel rolled the stone away’

Freya.L – ‘She rolled the stone away from the cave!

Logan – ‘Jesus was in the cave’

The children prepared their Easter Bonnets at home and brought them to nursery on Thursday for our Easter Bonnet Parade around the village. We were so thrilled with the support we received from the community with some coming to wave hello, others spoiled the children with chocolate eggs and a lovely hot chocolate stop at cafe 82. There was even a visit from the Easter bunny!! It was lovely to be able to pop down to the care centre for a wee visit. The children sang some songs for the residents and had a little Easter Egg hunt.

We wish you all a lovely Easter break away, and we look forward to welcoming all the children back to the centre on the 19th April.
